Yes! People use objects as a strategy to fight their loneliness. They (We) also use other things to keep our memories alive: foods from our cultures, games, and other traditions that most probably leave some traces in the material record.

I am really glad that you have enjoyed it! I am eager to see its application in such a case study. I also think a lot about the many displacements, voluntarily or not, that have happened in the past and how they might have impacted the emotional well-being of those displaced.
