For context, we last spoke 6 months ago on Zoom with my therapist after I came out to him. He said he "wasn't buying" the way I've felt my entire life, mocked our entire relationship up to that point, and called her a pain in his ass before abruptly hanging up. He'll be at a family party next month.

My therapist rn: "I'm gonna be really honest with you. As a therapist, I usually have a really high tolerance for dealing with difficult people and your dad was too much even for me. I can see why you'd feel anxious about having to interact with him" 🤣🤣
