Good Trouble Rally, Providence ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿพ
Across the country, thousands took to the streets to cause some good trouble by calling out the cruelty of the Trump regime: from slashing food assistance to terrorizing our immigrant neighbors.

In Providence, we resist together!

This morning in our Silver Lake neighborhood, Providence Police and ICE violently raided a familyโ€™s home and detained one of our a neighbors. This is unacceptable.

Providence should NOT be assisting ICE as they terrorize our communities.

Gov. McKee signs Freedom to Read Act into law โ€ข Rhode Island Current Rhode Island joined at least eight other blue states that have taken steps against school library censorship after Gov. Dan McKee signed the Freedom to Read Act into law Wednesday.

@rhodeislandcurrent.com: The legislation introduced by Sen. Mark McKenney and @davidmoralesri.bsky.social protects libraries and their patrons from book-banning efforts and affirms the free speech rights of authors, publishers and readers in the state.

Last night marked a disgraceful moment in our countryโ€™s history as a US Senator was dragged out of a press conference for trying to ask the Secretary of Homeland Security a question.

This is how quickly our basic rights can be pushed aside when those in power seek to silence.
