(less stubborn) switch to thumbnailing stuff from my ideas list/ref collection. i find that having a comic on the back burner is the best for this bc it still feels like i’m telling a narrative (with stick figures), even if i couldn’t depict one satisfactorily in the other drawing atm

(stubborn mode) i take the part that’s giving me trouble, copy it into a new document, and redraw it over and over again. some at easier angles (for expressions), more static (for poses), or plain messier (for gestures) to see if i can nail the vibe i want, then attempt again using those as ref
