Not that the show looks bad, but this cut stood out to me so much on my recent watch. I rewatched the moment a few times because it just looked so nice.

they're always "Bushido! Samurai are epic, how dare you insult them you stupid tourist". Almost like there's more of a blind belief with people not even from said country than the Japanese themselves. It all stems from ignorance and delving into Japanese works of course, but still fascinating.

Obviously there's lots of cool samurai stuff that we're meant to find cool made by Japan, but there's also SO much criticism for the samurai, bushido and etc... from them too which of course makes sense. What I find funny is that so many people from the west just deny that reality

1st episode of Shigurui was real good, the atmosphere feels so tense at all times and just doesn't let up

It's concerning for sure and such messes happen more and more these days given just how many shows get made, but even with that Sasakoi was an insane situation. Every time I remember it I just look at this screenshot I have and sigh/am amazed

Was skimming anichart, to take a quick glance at what's airing next season and surprising amount of romances, comedies and SoLs, *feels* like half of it or more are those kinds of shows. Hopefully one of them is a dark horse and ends up being a banger.

Milky☆Subway phenomenon is fascinating because it didn't get any attention in the west, but it's absolutely massive in Japan. From it being a success, to all the merch getting announced and so much fan art with so much engagement. All this starting from the creators graduation project at that lol.

I tried to look into it, to get some information, but the JP wikipedia doesn't have much and the official name of the show is in English even in Japan so there's no easy way to find information on this niche as hell 2003 anime. The writer has barely done anything.

Really liked it! I feel like the ending/part of it is kinda weird because I don't get it, maybe it's referencing something, I'm not quite sure and it doesn't ruin the show or anything, just odd. Other than that I'm honestly surprised just how much I enjoyed this random ass forgotten show lol.

I don't doubt you at all... Gotta do an actual binge of everything one day and maybe even rewatch Howl.

I will say I haven't seen much Ghibli, around that time I also watched Kiki and Porco Rosso, as a kid I watched Princess Mononoke and I think once I randomly came across Ponpoko on TV but was very confused and didn't stick with it. Oh yeah and Princess Kaguya I've seen too.

For a few years after that any time someone would ask about what anime I dislike the most I'd mention it.

I don't watch many anime movies, more of a tv series or ova kind of person, but it's easily Howl‘s Moving Castle. Been almost 10 years since then so I don't remember the details, but I think it just felt very Stuff Just Kinda Happens so it wasn't engaging or satisfying.

I haven't even watched the film but I've been losing my mind at the cope around it(been coming across it recently a lot for some reason). People accept that lots of older stuff was awful about these topics, why can't they accept the same for this movie.

I miss Zetsuen no Tempest, what a show

8 episodes into this and I'm kinda really charmed by this one, good stuff.

Cool enough concepts but they've just done TOO much. The leotard thing they got going on in their base forms put me off so much, it's all so bright and colorful which is neat, but then you see the actual costumes and meh

Every time I think about giving Princess-Session Orchestra another shot because it really seems like it got some steam I give up when I remember their magical girl uniforms, they are so bad. A friend recently showed me all their upgrades and whatnot AND THEY ARE STILL BAD

Is it gonna be a big epic mystery in the narrative? Probably not, but part of the fun of Fate is these hidden identities and waiting for the reveals and whatnot, you know seeing how it plays out rather than "I play fgo so i have to tell everyone i know who she is!!!"

I have never had issues about FGO players like some others do, but I finally felt the hatred when all of them just spoiled Philia's identity without a second thought. Just so many people freely talking about it, of course only on the English speaking side.
