Sad Somerset Maugham and sexy vampire? Yeah, you heard me.

Unsurprisingly, it's a book very much exploring one's relationship with duty, but also the prose is chef's kiss and the character work delicious. Absolute gold from the get-go.

Watched Sirāt today...what a brutal, bleak film. Couldn't stop clenching my jaw for the entire last half.

Just sent in my personal Nebula ballot.... 💌

Slightly torturous to not vote for the stuff that we put out, but also glad to have that policy to give us free rein to hype up the books we read and loved this year from other folks.
