My son’s CS PhD is funded through the NSF. He woke up this morning to realize his salary is frozen and he’s not getting paid for all of January. Zero notification of notice, just no paycheck. That’s not even legal.

Confirmed by my son with an NSF grant for Computer Science. He did not get paid today for the work he did in all of January. So many thoughts but I’ll start here - that’s not even legal.

The most alarming statistic to me is that 1 in 3 plan to quit even w/o a new job lined up. My client list is filled with people who’ve been laid off. And companies are moving like molasses. Get out there and network first people! You don’t have to stay but you do have to eat.

I’m disappointed to see that #LinkedIn now limits free accounts to 5 personalized connection requests per month. I always recommend that my clients “Add a Note.”You can still do 100 connection requests/week but it’s so much less personal. I guess they want everyone to buy Premium.
