My favorites were:
A Bright Ray of Darkness by Ethan Hawk - Maybe you will like it for the actor's story.
The Lie Tree by Frances Hardinge - My 8th class loved this.
The Fox Wife by Yangtze Choo

No, that isn’t right.

There was no longer any me to move through
I became a doorway that walks through itself

that was how broken I was
I broke

and now wonder if
in such a state
one can scarcely be called human

then what?
