I have been beyond honored to tell stories with such an incredible community. I was encouraged by a very kind friend to throw my hat in the ring for the CritAwards, as their nominations are out.

Only to find my career tainted by the same toxicity as my original job. Getting paid more per hour but the cost of living more being much higher it’s hard to tell the difference. My body is in pain, my mind is in shambles, and it’s harder than ever to -start over- again. I’m almost 40 damnit.

I worked for an abusive company that paid me only $9.50/hr after working there 6.5 years. I worked my ass off and moved across the Country to get into a better career. I succeeded. The industry shifted, I took a break, and moved across the Country again. (Continued)

Everything at my job could fix itself overnight. I still would not be satisfied. The damage has been done. I would not know how to function if it was suddenly ok. I’d still want to explore other avenues.

Most of my problems and all of my stress right now is directly related to men. That’s just a fact.

Lately I’ve only had the energy to exist. Work, disassociate, sleep. I need to do more. My mind knows. But my body doesn’t respond and my thoughts do not form.

She’s absolutely right! Maybe a good way to handle my ✨frustrations✨ would be to pick one group a day like that.
