Sora’s Cameo option has the user upload their own biometrics to create voice/video Deepfakes of themselves. The user can also set their preferences to allow others to create Deepfakes of each other, too.

Long before this deal, I recommended that users audit their TikTok use. Oracle had already started hosting U.S. TT user data on its servers a while back.

I do not doubt that the platform will be further farmed for user data without consideration or consent.

Again, I recommend moving away from and being mindful of using of TikTok.

Oracle, one of the most privacy-violating, pro-surveillance, genocide-supporting, pro-policing corporations to exist, is taking over co-ownership of TikTok.

While some boycotts can be about accountability, these boycotts now can end Empire if we are dedicated.

A reminder, when enough of us boycott, it works, and can work quickly even. It is a spectacular example of the power of organizing.

Yes, we can bring corporations to their ruin when we act together.

Also, there is no need stop boycotting when the corporations are rotten at the core.

Genocide does not simply happen.

Google signed a 6-month, $45 million contract in June to promote propaganda for the settler colonizer Israel. This is in addition to the billions already spent on tech toward the genocide.

Land acknowledgments have been disappearing in the DEIA purge.
