plus its generally not as worthwhile to make linux specific malware since its a small userbase, and most of us are more tech savvy so getting a virus onto a linux pc is gonna be harder too, so virus makers will likely stick to windows. doesnt mean you should get complacent, still be vigilant

ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure (i think thats how it goes). if youre being safe when downloading things youll be fine. anything more advanced than the stuff youd get doing that isnt really gonna be protected by an antivirus anyways
