also fond of hangedman being the one who takes this to heart + being the most sentimental about curien with an idealized view of the man that is bound to decay and crumble + him being very relieved that chariot is brought back with him bc he's the only family he knows he has left

-this being the bosses as "siblings" for daniel if he ever were to get better and ultimately replacement "sons" as he seems to lose sight of his original goal. and trying to influence them into seeing each other as "brothers" so they protect eachother and dont try to kill the other. smiling sneetly!

#houseofthedead trying to put a "family" (read:hevaily influenced by nuclear western standards) dynamic on characters is often trite and restricting (mainly/esp so when done wrong). but. i like the idea of curien viewing his work as some sort of twisted "fatherhood" with his main perfect creations -

cozy horror is horror downtime - hooking up in the save room, telling stories on the Jaws boat, waiting for the killer as he's checking every house. marking time, waiting for death - life goes on, ruled by fear.

one issue i have w/ 2/3 of those things tho is the lack of advertising. hardly anything for either hotd2r or hol2. former was radio silent for all this time, the latter keeps repeating "wishlist now!" with no new footage or info. if you want your game to do good you need to talk abt it!!
