i had claude write some canvas/js code that before I would have just avoided if I had to write it myself. Now it's just getting it working and adding some tests. I think the server side + js sprinkles approach makes more sense now than it did a decade ago

it's refreshing and a lot of fun. before we would have had to pull in some huge library and make it work with asset pipeline. I have instructions in an llm markdown file that says to write code ourselves unless pulling in a library will save more than 1k lines of code

I got this done by giving claude most of the Model Context Protocol docs and a small prompt. It failed miserably in typescript, maxing out not one, but two Claude accounts, but in Python with extended thinking it one-shotted (shotted?) it

I got a taste of this with Claude Code, but spending $3 per 5 minute bug fix over API is a bit rich. This brings test running into just normal $20 a month Claude.
