Exercise induces whole-body health benefits
The latest research on the effect of exercise on the body confirms the benefits of sitting less and moving more β and the sooner the better.
With support from the NIH and the Alliance, @euanashley, @SnyderShot, & team have mapped how 35,000+ molecules adapt to training, uncovering how exercise affects organs and tissues at the molecular level, and revealing key sex differences. stanmed.stanford.edu/exercise-who...

UO research could help reduce injuries among female athletes
A partnership with the sports company Puma will result in a new soccer shoe designed for women
Most soccer cleats are built for men β and that design gap can contribute to a higher risk of ACL injury for women. Mike Hahn, Associate Director ofΒ the Wu Tsai Human Performance AllianceΒ at @UOKnightCampus is partnering with @PUMA to change that. Read more: news.uoregon.edu/uo-research-...

Building Better Models of Regeneration
New research from the Knight Campus is advancing models of vascular network regeneration to improve treatments for injury recovery and poor circulation.
Healing after injury relies on regrowth of tiny blood vessels, but regeneration is a challenge. A study from Alliance member Robert Guldberg's lab at @UOKnightCampus shows that changes in oxygen and temperature over time influence how these networks form.
