Not gonna lie. I’m not sure I need another manosphere storyline. But kudos to #Hollyoaks for really thematically delving into toxic masculinity across all stories for the second episode in a row.

Wow what a strong #Hollyoaks. Congrats to Gary Sewell, whose script opened or propelled many stories (Dodger’s rape PTSD, Ste’s abuse by his son AND his first sexual encounter with Dillon, Ant is trapped in the manosphere) while exploring nuances of gender and masculinity.

Every single scene with Leslie getting away with mayhem makes me smile. It makes #BeyondTheGates ENTERTAINING, not realistic. Of course she’ll get her consequences, but why would we want the fun to end?? #BTG

Having missed essentially all of the mob years, watching #GH since May, Sonny comes off as mostly wise and reasonable, Jason comes off as heroic and caring, Carly comes off as appropriately protective. Not one hateworthy thing, imo. It helps to be unburdened by the past.

Not going to bore you with how I love how most of the stories on #GH are connected under Five Poppies/Sidwell umbrella (the kind of story I love), but this show is in a whole better league than most of the other US soaps (#BTG excepted, which is strong) #GeneralHospital

I keep having it on my list to watch these, but since I don't have much history with the show, pure nostalgia that doesn't open up big new story won't motivate me.

I realize there is no economic motive to do so, but #Neighbours REALLY should submit today's episode for Daytime Emmys. It tells a complete story, is TOP FORM in lighting, sound, music, direction, acting. #DaytimeEmmys

#EastEnders Been thinking a lot about some of my favorite moments from the last regime. Someone reminded me of George's baby farming arc, and that was superb from end to end. Chilling, heart-ache. It's sad the current regime may not care.

#Neighbours This Andrew-Holly fallout is superb. What is gutting me is that there is no way this can be resolved by the end of the series, and the unfinished business will haunt me, lol. Andrew is also about to lose his last friend (Cara cannot forgive) and job. Sad ending.

#GeneralHospital #GH I really like Nathan's return and this Bourne Identity possibility, but (a) the lack of any kind of emotional struggle makes it harder to buy; anyone would be haunted by their lost years (b) Dante was also a "pawn", and should feel uneasy.
