ED had a high cringe factor, but they've gotten rid of most that problematic group or backburnered them. (And they got rid of one who *could* act, sigh)

It's clear how powerful the UK acting programs are in terms of nurturing young talent that is good from day one on soaps.

I kinda liked that Rhett and Aaron's daughters are forming kind of a tea party club. And I knew that it was much more than a hunch, that this group must somehow form a family. #Neighbours

It is interesting that no US soap anywhere (not even the newest one) is seriously trying for this kind of young cohort anymore. I guess Days comes closest, but not really. Why did they give up on next gen? Because that group will never watch soaps again? Even so, you need them to sustain the shows.

Not gonna falsely praise #YR, but this twisted pseudo-family dynamic with Jill-Billy-Cane-Phyllis is compelling. Cane has layers like we haven’t seen in ages — esp on this soap. Billy Flynn is a STAR.
