It's a fun game. While I do think it's more fun to play as Leon, Grace's segments felt better designed than Leon's. I feel like a lot Leon's segments kind of drag on, especially towards the end, while Grace's segments always felt right.

17. Cosmic Princess Kaguya! (rewatch)

Everyone who said this is better on a rewatch was right. I really liked how much the entire movie is recontextualized on a rewatch. I really need to get around to reading the novelization. If I ever do I'll probably end up rewatching this movie again.

Counting this as completed because, even though I wasn't the one with the controller, my friends and I were working together to solve the puzzles & advance through the game. I guess it was an okay half an hour of puzzle solving though the jump scares were annoying.

I finished the main story years ago, but I never got around to reading the epilogue and extra chapters. This is probably the most functional relationship I have ever seen any yandere in and it actually makes sense. It just works! It's one of the best yandere romcoms out there.

This is okay. I think my biggest issue with this is that it feels very short and that it could have been more introspective. It could have been really good. Maybe the light novel is better.

This was a cute & funny manga. I had a blast reading this. I wish it was 1 or 2 volumes longer. I don't really think it had anything missing or that could have been expanded upon. I just wanted to see more of these two being silly & their lives together.

IBO has been such a mixed bag for me. There's a lot about IBO I think is really cool & interesting, but there's also a lot I don't like about IBO. At least there's a lot to think about. Overall, I did have good time & enjoyed my time with this show.

It's an emotional & lively blend of fantasy, sci-fi, VR, & JP internet culture. I love the bombastic set pieces, the chaotic cohabitation bits, & the melancholic moments. It has become my favorite take on The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter & Kaguya herself. I want more!

Decided to watch this because I love MyGO and Ave Mujica. This is probably the most Love Live inspired anime I've watched despite not being about idols. I had fun watching this. I really like Kasumi and Arisa. Kasumi is such an unhinged character and I'm weak to tsunderes.

It's a decent adaptation of the manga. I do really like the voice work for this, but that may be my huge bias for Ueda, Ishikawa, and Ai Fairouz.

There's a lot that could be said about how little this show actually does. There's way too much actually. There's very little that could said about what this actually does & decides to commit to. It's been a long time since I watched such a creatively bankrupt show.

Easily one of the biggest anime production disasters of all time. You can tell the animators were trying to save whatever they could, but there's only so much you can do with heinous storyboarding while being extremely short staffed with terrible communication.

3. Final Fantasy XVI

I really liked the main cast, side characters, side quests, music, & the DLC boss fights. I really liked the main story too minus the Odin parts. It's, for the most part, a really good game. While I do have my issues with FFXVI, I really don't get the hate this game gets.

2. SPY x FAMILY Season 3

This season had some of the more interesting episodes and some of the more funny episodes. It's not exactly a huge step up from previous seasons, but it does give me some hope that the series doesn't ever lose its steam.

Gonna try keeping up a thread again this year. Here's to hoping I don't do the usual "writing small write-ups weeks after completing something" again.

1. Shuumatsu Touring

Fairly easy to understand without subs and decent JP listening practice. It's also a decent post-apocalyptic travel anime.

My favorite things from last year. I'm kind of cheating with one of them but I love it more than most things on here. Overall a pretty good year. FFXVI might have been on here somewhere if I managed to finish it last year.

It's certainly what a Gintama high school AU would be like. It was at least kind of fun watching these bozos be in something new. I also just really like hearing Sugita say bullshit.
