Why they can't just get it consistently in this superhero sets?
It nice when it works and really miserable 4 times out of 5.

There are good cards reveled, I love Zemo's, Moon-Girl's and Quicksilver's

But then Doom is just a Phyrexian Arena.
We had that guy for 5 mana in Innistard in 2011, it was more versatile and had better stats.
They even made a better legendary version with that effect in fucking Aetherdrift

This is one that baffles me.
The Hulk side is perfectly good for a Hulk card (even if Gamma as a subtype...) but adding the Banner it just flops.
There isn't sinergy between the side and well yeah it makes sense that those two don't want to work together, but this leaves the card half baked

Fidelity to the source material is a selling point for UB sets.
Probably for how much needs to be crammed in so many just fail, just that little spice that is missing.

On the other hand, some cards just fail the assignment.

Mtg card for Captain America, Super Soldier

While Steve here is a perfectly competent protection piece, as one would expect from Cap... there is something simply lost in translation.

I understand gameplay wise why he cannot recover his shield... but it's the bouncing shield.

Gameplay takes priority over fidelity, but is a notable absence.

Having to leave behind the Noble subtype to Namor IMPERIUM REX McKenzie is a no. I wonder if they should have a Antihero keyword that just grants both types was a more elegant solution to free space.

I have similar nitpicking issues on most of the reveled cards and they add up

Namor has a publication history older than every other character in the roster, the guy was arround before Cap showed up
And while is to have Master of Waves in the command zone, I think the card is bad at being Namor.

After the spiderman set I'm feeling a bit conflicted on the new Marvel cards they showed.

On one hand you have to boil and compress characters that often have 60+ years in a single card that rappresent them, but on the other hand is wierd so see some choices and concession made
