Touya stayed the 13 year old boy on Sekoto Peak, wishing for his father's acceptance, praise, attention.

Touya is someone capable of true joy, a feeling Dabi has burned to ash.

So he keeps seeking out interviews and fan videos and looks for Keigo in them instead of watching Hawks.

But despite having revealed his true identity, he's grown as Dabi. Not Touya.

He was reborn, mourning the loss of a 13 year old boy who he now keeps closer than anything before.

He cannot escape. But maybe he doesn't want to.

He's not sure why. It's some sick twisted feeling in his chest that makes him feel connected to the other.

Perhaps it's Touya who he's buried deep down in his heart who merely longs for a friend.

They are not Touya and Keigo anymore. They are Dabi and Hawks. Destined to fall. For each other or apart or both, Dabi doesn't want to think about it.

He cannot escape. He is followed by Hawks, who swoops down with bright red wings and haunted by Keigo, who longs for a touch he will never receive.

He can't help but think that maybe Touya and Keigo would've been good friends.

They could have played and laughed like normal kids do, had they gotten the chance.

It's no use thinking about it now.

Dabi knows now. He knows Hawks was sold and bought.

He knows who Hawks' father was. He searched up Takami thief. He met Takami Tomie in the flesh. He knows who Takami Keigo once was and he hates that he couldn't meet him.

Maybe he can't help himself when he clicks on an old interview Hawks did a couple years back.

He watches as the interviewer asks where Hawks is from, how he became a hero, what his childhood was like. He listens as Hawks dodges the questions, avoiding anything that has to do with his past.

After he inhaled so much smoke, he needs a voice operator.

He's forced to look at him, the lifeless eyes of his picture boring into him.

Dabi can't stand it.

And maybe, for the most part, it's his own fault.

The man is everywhere. On billboards, on flyers, on pop up adds, on the radio, the news, in the papers.

He's unwillingly learned of Hawks' recovery after his wings were burned off.
