It's not that I think Romance & Porn should be mutually exclusive categories. It's just that people make a lot of demands of the Romance genre that simply wouldn't need to be made if those people made peace with letting themselves enjoy porn.

like, its hard to feel like anyone in this book truly cares about anyone else!!!! maybe din and ana? but their relationship is so not the focus. there are no meaningful links between these characters, nothing to FEEL

was raised catholic but my family was and is pretty chill about religion in general so there was never any terrible pressure besides "we go to church at least once a month idk". my parents (still very lax) started going to a protest church. i remember being like 10, almost asleep during service
