I've been a Green Party member for a couple of days now and the communication from the party has been fantastic. Labour could only dream of engaging their members as well as the Greens do.

Zack Polanski, Mothin Ali & Rachel Millward - The Green Party Meet our new leadership team.

Listening to @zackpolanski.bsky.social's speech at @greenparty.org.uk Conference made my mind up: I'm joining the Greens. I left Labour nearly two months ago, and now I've found my new political home.

Labour Doesn't Need Another Starmerite Why Labour Party members should back Bell Ribeiro-Addy over Bridget Phillipson or Lucy Powell

By using AI, the EHRC has utterly destroyed any glimmer of hope that they would take people seriously. Of course, expecting them to read 50,000 responses in a few weeks would be unreasonable, which is why they should have allowed more time. It's been a farce from start to finish. Shameful.

Jamie Strudwick - who will remain as co-chair
of Pride in Labour until February following his
resignation from this role and as a member of
the Labour Party in early August - told Attitude
before his resignation that while many people
are leaving Labour for the new left party or the
Greens, he doesn't see either of them as "a viable
alternative just yet". Of Corbyn and Sultana,
Strudwick says: "We know that they're both
pro-trans, but until I personally see tangible
evidence from them about what they'll do for
the community I don't think they're necessarily
a safe bet."

"We're not seeing any appetite from the
government to make those changes or to sit
down with trans people to discuss these topics,"
says Strudwick. "I think we would see significant
improvements with a new leader. I think Keir
Starmer has caused far too much damage and
he's eroded too much trust in the party.
"To put it bluntly, it's time for a significant
change within the Labour Party."

It's a great privilege to have been featured in @attitudemag.bsky.social for the September/October edition. I discussed 'Your Party' not being ready to call itself an alternative for LGBTQ+ people and how the Labour Party needs a new leader.

They Wanted Us to Kettle Ourselves At Hull's far-right protest, police urged counter-protesters into a restrictive pen, exposing dangerous priorities and unfair treatment.

Humberside Police and the Lib Dem-led Hull City Council failed in their duty to keep us safe. There are questions that need answering πŸ‘‡

The Police Liaison Officer told us that Hull City Council had organised the pen β€œfor our safety”. The Liberal Democrat leader in Hull, Mike Ross, has some explaining to do.

If people want an example of two-tier policing, #HumbersidePolice wanted us contained in this pen (we refused, obviously) while the far-right lot were able to move around freely and harass us at close proximity.

I asked this far-right individual about his views on James McMurdock - the former Reform MP who was convicted of assaulting his girlfriend. I think the person recording me had a Freudian Slip.

Why I Left Labour The flag still flies - but not in the hands of those who folded it away.

"Keir Starmer has inflicted enormous harm not only on the party, but the country as a whole, and that cannot be forgiven or overlooked. It is no longer a party of integrity."

Hull-Grown "Terrorists"? Nine members of Cooperation Hull face charges under the Terrorism Act for protesting peacefully

Nine #Hull activists are facing terrorism charges for holding placards. Peaceful protest is not terrorism - and the government's misuse of these laws should scare us all.

Why I Left Labour The flag still flies - but not in the hands of those who folded it away.

A few days ago, I left the Labour Party. I've written this blog (to launch my website) explaining my reasons in more detail πŸ‘‡

Ten years ago today, my mum died very suddenly from sepsis. A whole decade without her seems very strange. I was 17 when she died and I still remember that day very vividly. Anniversaries are always a bit tough.

After cancelling my Labour membership (and others, except Unite), I'm redirecting the money: Β£5/month to @goodlawproject.org and Β£5/month to @pscupdates.bsky.social. The money I gave to Labour now funds solidarity, justice, and inclusion instead of hate, division, and inaction.

I have signed this open letter. The way this situation has been handled is utterly shameful. M&S has thrown their employee under the bus and allowed her to be disgustingly vilified in the most vicious way.

I'm done trying to be diplomatic - JK Rowling is a vacuous shell of cruelty. She doesn't need a platform. She needs therapy. Urgently.

Absolutely - and since Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter, we've seen incitement become normalised and monetised. Get yourself a blue tick, and they'll pay you to incite hatred and violence. It's a dark world we're living in.

When Words Turn into Sentences: The Real Consequences of a Social Media Post The jailing of Lucy Connolly sparked a debate over free speech, but what happens when social media posts have real-world consequences?

#LucyConnolly is due to be released from prison soon - and her sentence has sparked a national debate. But do social media posts exist in a vacuum, or can they have real-world consequences?

This cannot continue. Under this current leadership, we are destroying any chance of winning in 2029, and utterly wrecking the chances of local councillors in May 2026. Something has to change urgently.

I cannot begin to express the fury I have that this appointment has been pushed through despite concerns being raised by the WEC and JCHR. It flies in the face of parliamentary process and is a huge middle finger to the importance of these committees. Utterly shameful.
