There was an exhibition of Leon's paintings at Moore College of Art & Design in the late 80s when I taught there. It was almost physically difficult to be in such a small space with those overpowering paintings.

Somewhere around here I have a sketch I did of him during class. He looked a bit like Spiderman's early villain, the Vulture! 😉
