I can actually do rehairing now too. Back in the day we had to supply hair from donor toys, and often dye it, because you couldn't just go out and buy any color of nylon hair you can imagine. Hobbies are one thing this modern internet hellscape is good for, I guess.

Most of the work has been on undoing a custom I made when I was 13. It was a 4-Speed I (badly) painted over because he had some issues that at the time I couldn't fix. I'd like to try retrobrighting and then redo the customization because my little nerd child self wrote fanfic with this character

Found a beautiful example of a sphinx Singer treadle sewing machine at the thrift store today, she almost came home with me even though I do not have the room, they weight a ton, and she needed some work. Not bad for a 123 year old girl though
