Actually it was my now-ex who got me into pigeons. It was something I really loved about her. Almost everything I know I learned from her.

oh yes what a bird
the great regret
Pride events. It was strictly from the order of CEO Norf that they were not to be worked on any more, as he has openly admitted to in multiple interviews.
Yeah that's the counter argument most people used and I agree it wouldn't have happened. Private servers would have been used almost exclusively for temporary game mode style events or niche utility purposes, stuff that can't compete with the long term permanent progress of the main game.
EVERYONE would agree that's weird regardless of their opinion on the quest itself. But we're supposed to pretend it's okay for a guy who's job is not to design or develop content to make content decisions? Gah it's so infuriating.
Bring back pride.
Sorry but I thought about it again and it pissed me off again:
Why does the CEO even have the ability to unilaterally remove in-game content? That's not his damn job! Imagine if Norf stepped in and said "I don't like Legend's quest, remove it now!"
If Jamflex wanted more money, why did they cancel Project Zanaris? An additional product that I would have gladly paid extra for?
They want all of the juice with none of the squeeze.
Pigeons can be lesbians too! This actually happens quite frequently in fact when kept in female/female pairs.
We have confirmed genetically that Rupert is male but they have a pretty fluid interpretation of their own gender and both of them engage in "male" and "female" type behaviours :3
Pigeons raised well in captivity can easily live 15+ years, so here's to many more wonderful moments with my two babies π¦
Losing Reginald was a tragedy, but in time we moved forward, and Rupert decided to step in and become her new husband. We actually thought he was a girl until this happened! They got together in May '25 and have been happy ever since.
Rupert looks after her very well.
Reina had a first love before Rupert. His name was Reginald. Sadly he got very sick and passed away shortly after this photo was taken, so it's the only photo I have of them together. He worked very hard to make her a nice nest and always tried to protect her.
In March '25 we rescued Reina, who is obviously a domestic breed. She was found also suffering from PMV stuck in someone's garden unable to fly out. She is certainly either a lost or possibly abandoned pet.
She laid her first egg very soon after joining us π₯
He took to the pet life very quickly, and loved to sit around, sleep, and occasionally coo. It took time for him to learn how to fly and eat properly again but he has since made a full recovery.
Let's share my pigeon's origin stories π
Rupert was rescued in October '24. He was found stuck outside in the cold and rain unable to fly, suffering from the disease PMV, which attacks the nervous system. It causes them to be unable to control their movements properly.
omg they can be little big friends that's sweet
