I may own a Tesla but I'm excited for BYD to just crush Tesla as a company.
I'm reminded of similar discussions about taxpayer funded college. Which when you look at the numbers show college graduates fully pay for it with how much more they pay in taxes and then some. I want my taxes to fund schools, food, and housing. Not killing children.
I'll take Republicans over liberals/classic Democrats because at least they'll tell me they hate me to my face. That's easier to fight against than the liberals saying any real change is too hard, before using minorities as a shield arguing if I don't vote for them I'm hurting minorities.
Personally I'd like to avoid gun fights in the streets between civilians and federal agents. We may not be there yet but the longer those in power do basically nothing except strongly worded letters and give speeches the closer we get.
In regards to ICE, politicians have the most power to do something that avoids things getting a lot more violent. Those who choose inaction now are passing the choice to act on to those who have few options left besides violence.
I've never been so excited for the economy to crash as I am for the crash that will follow the AI bubble finally bursting.
They look good
portland city council confirms that two portland residents have been shot by federal agents. at this time, the city council has been told that both victims are alive.
USPS quietly changed its postmark rules — mail is no longer dated when you drop it off. The “official” date is when it hits automated sorting — sometimes days later
Which could have major implications for mail in voting — it’s a clever way to disenfranchise voters that’s going largely overlooked
Housing in the US is broken. I'm working on a voter initiative to help fix it, and I would love any and all feedback people might have.

I'll keep my eyes open, I've been to drainage ditch raves and multiple under random bridges. A sewer rave has to happen eventually.
Sewer rave? Where!?
I'm reminded of the video out of Seattle I think of a man wearing a Nazi arm band getting punched in the face. Feels like an effective way to make someone not want to wear a Nazi arm band in public.
Looks like someone is trying to organize a US general strike!

One of these pictures is of war ravaged Portland Oregon and the other is of Palestine, it's hard to tell the difference, it's almost indistinguishable!
So Tylenol is the latest distraction from releasing the Epstein files?
Time to exercise stand your ground laws for personal safety reasons.
i worked with our director RJ to put together a web page compiling phone numbers, emails, and petitions where you can make your voice heard - protect queer artists and sex workers and tell payment processing companies to end their awful policies harming safe spaces for creative art
This country desperately needs data privacy laws and bans on facial recognition but until we have that, this remains legal.

Found one in the wild today. This is from Uline. What in the shitty corporate takes is this.
In Manhattan, ICE officers were forced to flee inside 26 Federal Plaza
🇩🇪 German Chancellor Friedrich Merz told Fox News that had Ukraine been accepted into NATO back in 2008, today’s war might have been avoided. He added that only strength brings peace. "If you are weak, you invite aggression, that is why we support Ukraine as long as necessary."
52 steps. 5 minutes. Just to access a website. Age verification laws aren’t about safety, they’re about censorship.
Well, here we go. The GOP has just introduced a bill to effectively outlaw all pornography.
The bill dismantles the Supreme Court's Miller Test for obscenity, removing provisions that the content be patently offensive to community standards.
