White always needs some water added in order to not get chalky.

I followed Lucas´ painting guide from the website. Here my Pro Acryl workflow. I start with white priming and a mix of Transparent black plus Newsh medium plus water to darken the recesses. Then I build the whites up with Dark Ivory, Pale Yellow, Bright Ivory and Titanium White.

Interesting weekend, mostly really nice. I managed to get these halberdiers done. The flag is printed and then painted and detailled by hand to make it look nice. Slogan is (I hope) "Lick the Bull!" in latin, because it seemed like something soldiers would choose as a war cry based on the design.

I really like the historical approach to these guys! I mean they could almost be used on a Paris table without being noticed as WHFB.

Well in all examples mentioned I would use different miniatures. And new rules are a painful process. But in general I have done this quite often. I mean use your collection with different rules. But definitely not for a single scenario.
