Also it’s been a while since I’ve seen something on an IMAX screen. There’s a POV shot where Ryan Gosling leans through the open hatch of his ship before going on a spacewalk and I felt like I personally was being swallowed by deep space. Amaze!
Got to see an early screening of Project Hail Mary with the @planetarysociety.bsky.social folks last night. A fantastic adaptation. Highly encourage sci-fi fans to check it out when it hits theaters later this month.
Thoughts & prayers to the EPA :(
For these duped masked fools, their pretend cop time will have been short but the consequences will be forever.
From the heads of state to the boots on the ground, everyone complicit in these abuses will have to be prosecuted under US constitutional law. Our reps must put an end to this now or be voted out, the courts will catch up, and there will be no protections, no immunity.
pay. They were festooned in costumes of authority and given automatic weapons and then sent slipping and fumbling into the streets of Minneapolis without planning, training, or public support. They believe that serving at the pleasure of the president means they have legal safe harbor. They don’t.
These guys are so clearly terrified. Spooked by their own wrongdoing. Alarmed that it’s all being recorded and disseminated before they can rewrite the story. Each bystander has a billion eyes, a billion ears. This is not what they signed up for. The recruitment propaganda promised glory, power, and
Grammarian and Errorist are at it again! 🖊️
Not many career paths lead to being friends with the dictionary, but I’m happy to find myself in one. Thanks for the early copy of the Twelfth Edition, @merriam-webster.com!
Narrative is a bit disjointed and it’s kind of a slow burn, but by the Qs I couldn’t put it down. Five stars.
I never feel more saintly than when I put a pristine copy of a desirable book in someone’s little library box.
Nerdy items for your consideration (grammar, fonts, oh my)

Hey Instagram, maybe give @britannica.com their checkmark. I’ve heard the references look out for their own and you don’t want to find yourself in verbal fisticuffs with @merriam-webster.com

the illegal hijacking of the US military to ramp up chaos and spectacle as we protest the fascist excesses of this regime.
No kings. Nationwide marches on June 14. See you out there.
No, in this country we don’t tolerate senators being forced to the ground and cuffed for asking questions. We don’t tolerate masked agents rounding people up on the streets and disappearing them in unmarked vans. And we sure as hell don’t tolerate
This song is going to be on my full length album Curiosities coming out later this year, btw. It’s almost done (just working on the cover art) and I can’t wait to share it with y’all!
Our van broke down in Roswell so naturally we wrote a song about the 1947 UFO incident while we were stranded there.
Now our song is featured in the latest episode of the Via Podcast. It’s a fun trip through UFO lore and bizarre desert mysteries. Tune in here: mwg.aaa.com/via/podcast/...

Come say hi.
I’m launching a sci-fi book club!
Also I proved my own point already by misspelling “Troubadour” inside the front cover. I ALREADY RUINED IT 😩
The trouble with receiving a notebook so perfect and special is that I will never have thoughts good enough to write in it
This was absolutely fascinating @acollierastro.bsky.social
Yes! A great game.
Now would be the perfect time for a massive new open world game to take over my life. Give me a backpack with upgradable tools and set me loose upon a world of someone else’s making, please.
You model how to be thoughtful about a great many things, Hank, and this is precisely why you’re so beloved. Don’t niche down!
I wish my brain would consult me before deleting files.
The difference between stalagmites and stalactites? Fine. How to use a Punnett square? If you must. But NOT my current hotel room number, brain.
Here's your daily reminder that bookstores keep the love of reading alive — but they also keep neighborhoods beautiful. They are places to gather, to celebrate stories, to find community.
Please do your holiday shopping at your local independent bookstore, if you are lucky enough to still have one.
