Just thought @shieldsbrief.bsky.social should see the latest from the SLB chairman.
He's certainly fun to watch! Got warned early but refs were fairly lenient after that. Manchester players will already be in no doubt who's in charge & they will feel the full effect of his temper if they don't do what he says!

Sound going off for 2nd half, Josh is very knowledgeable but he talks soooo much!! It's irritating me & spoiling my enjoyment of the game.
Just a wild question popped into my head whilst watching the game tonight. Could Aaryn Rai play for GB?
Fantastic win, real gritty performance, should have been more in the end but we'll learn from that. But GB actually beating Greece-wow!
Lots of heating professionals who believe heat pumps are not the answer for older homes. Fine for new homes but not efficient heating source for older houses. First criteria has to be all new homes have heat pumps, no more gas allowed in new houses. .
The podcast returns! In this episode we speak with Reading CEO Matt Johnson about non-SLB teams joining the SLB Cup, take a look at why the player pathway is so important and also look at players who made a name for themselves in the NBL before going on to play abroad.

Finished it now, good (if rather long) episode. Whilst I understand Dave's points regarding Bozic at Lions, I think there's 2 reasons to stay.
1. Finances, I'd imagine 777 gave him a very good package, which Lions are tied to.
2. Future years - Eurocup next season? & the Zalgaris connection
Absolutely gutted that Jordan Taylor has left London Lions. He will be hugely missed both on and off court for Lions & the league.
True professional & high quality player. We were very lucky that we got to see him play in this country.
At least you don't support a team who have a basketball player who can airball 3 consecutive free throws!!
I laughed, there was nothing more I could do! (To be fair, he hit the 2 that mattered in the 4th)
Thats so funny, but to be honest, I wouldn't have known whether to laugh or cry if he was a Saints player!
Great game tonight & fantastic result. Ciaran Sandy, take a bow!! The only player on the roster tonight who was with us last year. He knew what this meant & he went out and got us the win!
Every player played their part in a fantastic win. Well worth the journey!
Not sure we'll have quite enough to do it tomorrow but this Lions team have surprised me in a positive way in the last 3 weeks, so who knows b
I'm not quite so far down that road but I'm hoping I will be in a few weeks.
Both their centres had more fouls than points! And until the last 3 minutes where Barnes scored 5 of his 7 points, he was heading that way too.
Flood was also very vocal in time-outs etc., without JT we need that, as we seem a little quiet as a team.
It's great to see the size of crowds at the Box, I was worried we might suffer after this summer's issues, but it's certainly bigger crowds than this time last year.
Some thoughts from last night.
Hadzibegovic put-back throw-down was elite!!
Adebayo is getting better each week, defensively excellent, now finding his offence.
Unsurprisingly, when Flood got extended minutes he became more confident & more effective, plenty to come from him.
I think it's too early in our season for us to beat Cheshire in Cheshire but we'll see, the X factor is Bozic, for me the best coach in the league.
Damn, not going to make it in time now!
No
No JT in the building for Lions, gonna make this really difficult.
Probably not far off but I'd say high single figures, doing enough to get the win late on.
I'm expecting a new coach bounce, with all the players stepping up, expecting a really close game.
I miss Whatsbev!!
It was a great place to talk British basketball for many years.
Good to see Sam Dekker back in action & playing good minutes in his 1st game for Badalona. Played down the stretch which shows the belief the coach must already have in him.
I'd prefer of course if he was in a London Lions kit!
