Disheartening, but feels like the truth

In the evening light, dark outlines of the aged headstones lengthened beneath the eerie shadows of bare branches. I search each engraved appellation and find the one. The solemn marker stirs. A figure emerges, reaching from the depths of her grave, drawing me to her.

My forever love, at last.

I take both with me. I have transitions, but they don't get dark enough. Unless it's a rainy day, then I leave the prescription sunglasses behind.
