Analog Burn

This time around I am going with a different distributor that charges per release, so hopefully, I take my time to make sure I am happy and then make sure to not go back and re-listen 3-5 years from now, lol. Maybe in 20 years we just pay someone to remaster and keep it out of our hands.

I keep going back to my mixes trying to get older music to feel right. I guess 3rd (actually 4th / 5th) time is a charm. There is something cathartic about trying to acknowledge the past as you look towards the future. On the bright side, I am really comfortable mixing & mastering in logic now.

For me personally, every new feature, new plugin, new amp sim or new synth vst took away from where my creativity came from. The challenge was that you had limited options and had to do the most with what you had…. Somewhere that philosophy was lost along the way… yeah… deep thoughts…
