First time not doing a fantasy football league in 20+ years and it feels weird!
08.09.2025 00:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think this is a healthy development, but I've basically replaced most of my doomscrolling with tinkering around with Cursor and Claude code, and it feels like a much more satisfying way to kill time
04.09.2025 18:24 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0One thing I find interesting about VC investing in AI cos is the investor desire to declare early winner. Last year very few ppl I know thought Claude would be a major player, it was all Cursorβs market to lose. Now many view this market as way more competitive - customers decide, not investors!
01.08.2025 05:50 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Apparently!
25.07.2025 06:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0First time seeing Lady Gaga live - sheβs an incredible performer. High energy from start to finish.
25.07.2025 05:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβve been learning Python as a fun side project and as a way to better understand a few things that eluded me. It has been way more fun than I expected, especially now that Iβm getting into MCPs!
25.07.2025 01:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Today I learned that a lot of things people call co-pilots are just projects in Claude!
23.07.2025 22:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Spent some time thinking about the questions im not hearing answered when it comes to the near-term impact AI is already having on white collar work: open.substack.com/pub/chudson/...
06.05.2025 14:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A lot of people seem to just want to be famous for anything, no matter what the thing is or what it costs them. Seems weird to me.
02.05.2025 05:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This week I got a lot of emails from work people that were clearly AI generated. This was the first week I didnβt roll my eyes or find it annoying - they were easy to read and well organized, but maybe lacked their personality and voice. Something felt different - maybe it was me, maybe it was AI
24.04.2025 04:41 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've heard of people declaring email bankruptcy - I'm considering declaring text messaging bankruptcy!
04.04.2025 19:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Whenever I look at the number of daily logistical text messages I exchange with my wife, I canβt imagine what parenting logistics looked like before phones.
21.03.2025 19:33 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Celebrities want to stay famous, rich people want to stay rich, and politicians want to maintain power. Sometimes itβs just that simple.
16.03.2025 02:26 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Early in my investing career I heard the old saw βnever try to catch a falling knifeβ when markets fall. As a VC, I feel like I need the equivalent of βnever try to grab a knife attached to a bottle rocketβ to describe investing in AI startups. Either way you end up with a bloody hand in the end.
12.03.2025 05:47 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I wrote this before I saw the posts about the book after talking to a bunch of friend who worked at a variety of big tech cos!
11.03.2025 06:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Only worked at one public tech company, glad it wasnβt that one
11.03.2025 06:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I hope it was worth it
11.03.2025 05:05 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Lifelong NBA fan. Never thought Iβd see a year where my adopted Warriors and my hometown Pistons were both legit playoff teams!
05.03.2025 03:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I spoke with a journalist asking for tips on the most interesting consumer AI companies. It was hard to think of good examples at scale other than ChatGPT and Perplexity.
04.03.2025 16:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I have no idea why it took me so long to find @thestorygraph.com but I am so glad that a fellow reader encouraged me to sign up.
04.03.2025 04:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0First new longform post of the year! Iβve been thinking a lot about the lack of tech IPOs and what that means for smaller funds like mine. I think we are in a new normal of bigger but less frequent IPOs.

Lately Iβve seen a lot of people at the airport traveling in full hiking/trail gear - hiking pants and utility hiking shirts and sometimes hiking shoes, too. Is this a thing now? Is this about comfort, utility, or something else?
24.02.2025 17:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Predicting the future is really hard - I donβt do it. Three things that surprised me as an adult:
1. Normalization of visible tattoos and body art. Used to be taboo, totally normal.
2. Public weed consumption - didnβt see that coming.
3. The hard shift in tech from optimism to pragmatism
