That's exactly what I was thinking thank you for articulating it so well! I'm conflicted because the particles being sucked in has a nice consequence of the particles also following the effect when it moves, but now that I think of it how often do such effects move
Yes I should've been clearer but that's right.
Good thing you like it because the particles being sucked in xomes from radial velocity, which also makes them follow the effect slightly if it moves. Which I do like as well

More beams. These beams and my portals included an "open_amount" slider to control the effect (shown in the first clip).
It's a kind of helper slider so you don't have to animate everything seperately. Does it seem useful?
