I see a future where people will pay more to speak with a human or switch brands if they are guaranteed 'live' customer service that has not been outsourced.

Happy to say DHL has live people that you can speak with...in Ireland anyway. I was pleasantly surprised. Fedex, on the other hand, only allows you to speak to an agent if you have a Fedex account. Reminds me of the Norwegian shittification ad. How can we take something good and make it worse?

Screenshot of a news article from The Post titled “Repeatedly getting Covid doesn’t build immunity, ‘it’s more like accumulating damage’,” written by Melanie Earley of RNZ and dated March 10, 2026. Below the headline is a portrait of leading vaccinologist and associate professor Dr Helen Petousis-Harris, shown facing the camera against a dark background. The article discusses how repeated COVID-19 infections may cause cumulative harm rather than building lasting immunity.

"Leading vaccinologist Helen Petousis-Harris says there's not enough awareness of the impact of COVID-19 on overall health."

"What many people don't realise is that getting COVID repeatedly is not like building immunity, it's more like accumulating damage," she says.

WELL NOW, would you look at that?

A massive, 26-YEAR-LONG study of MORE THAN 2.4 MILLION people in Sweden found found NO EVIDENCE to support a causal link between acetaminophen (the API in Tylenol) use during pregnancy and increased risk of autism, ADHD, OR intellectual disability in children.

A lot of people, including me, were wondering how an IRB could ever approve this study.

The answer is that no IRB did. The person who “signed off” on approval from the only ethics board that reviewed it had resigned three years earlier. His signature was used without his knowledge.

This is beside the point -- a very important point -- but that photo show one of the most beautiful urban landscapes I've seen in a long time. A busy city, full of walkers, bikers, and street cars, and no private automobiles in sight. (Or, if there are any, they're damn hard to find.)

Rare, dangerous side effects of some COVID-19 vaccines explained “Groundbreaking” study uncovers why adenovirus-based shots caused life-threatening blood clots and bleeding in some people

Five years after the rollout of Covid-19 vaccines started, it seems the mystery of why the Astra-Zeneca and J&J vaccines led to a rare but deadly side effect of unusual blood clots and bleeding has finally been solved.

It's a fascinating case of molecular mimicry that may help make vaccine safer.🧪

12 former @fda.gov commissioners from both parties just went on the record in @nejm.org calling Vinay Prasad’s vaccine framework a threat to public health. They bring more than 3 decades of leadership at the agency, and it is hard to think of a more forceful warning. 🧵
