This is a fun list! We are delighted to see Mike McCormackβs Solar Bones in the top 3! Also from Tramp Press is Doireann nΓ GhrΓofa's A Ghost in the Throat and two novels by Sara Baume! Not bad for a very small independent publisher.

An interior view of the Book Corner bookshop, with brightly lit white shelves of books to the sides, looking through an archway surrounded by tree murals, towards more shelves and tables of books. There is a beautiful wooden floor and sage green door, and it looks very inviting.
An interior shot of Waterstones in Bradford, a soaring hammer beamed ceiling with arched windows and ornate carving in the wood. Beneath, between the stone pillars, are tall bookshelves abs tables of books under warm lantern lights. A person wearing a bright red dress with long dark hair stands reading at the bottom of the shot.
The small but mighty Book Corner (@bookcornerhx.bsky.social) in the beautiful and historic Piece Hall in Halifax is always worth a visit. As is Waterstones in Bradford, located in the stunning old Wool Exchange building.

One reason you might want to publish traditionally is because it makes it easier for your book to get into bookshops. Publishers have sales teams, we have relationships with bookshops and booksellers.
