New antibiotic that kills drug-resistant bacteria discovered in technicianβs garden
The molecule targets bacteria in a way that other drugs donβt.
A new antibiotic from garden soil?
Scientists have discovered lariocidin, a molecule with potent activity against drug-resistant bacteria, found in a soil sample from a garden!
Lariocidin works by disrupting bacterial protein production in a way that makes resistance unlikely.
