Yes, but if I own Twitter and a campaign takes place 10’s of 1,000’s of users all participating towards the ends of defaming someone and it is published on their site (this happens online) I would argue the “facilitation” would be the same as the times publishing something blatantly defamatory.

I can be sued for speech that isn’t protected by the first amendment on social media. Social media sites can’t be sued for boosting, facilitating or harboring it.

You can’t sue a social media company for hosting, facilitating, boosting or harboring defamatory speech. There has been, to my knowledge, no instance of large social media companies like Twitter for hosting revenge porn being sued because I don’t think you can. Interested in proof for the second one

You can make carve-out for size if you want, however these sites can host revenge porn, facilitate harassment campaigns that lead to the deportations of American citizens, and actively boost defamation with zero consequences.

Section 230 is the single biggest road block towards tackling the issues we are having with media right. Social media companies face no consequences for hosting deranged content and it needs to stop

Obviously if there is any evidentiary/due process issues that’s a problem. We, as a people, should not be rooting for this man unless we think he’s innocent. Not if we think he killed someone and it was based. Only reason I’m saying something is that this post feels like a little more than a meme.
