Sharing art online used to feel like participating in a lively, authentic community. Now (post-2017ish) it just feels like a soulless numbers game with a weird mentality of "blow up or die trying" and that's basically it. I guess all you can do is keep creating the bullshit you love no matter what.

I miss being a furry/pokemon OC artist sometimes but I sealed my fate now with Sonic fanart. Which is fine; Ima still draw whatever tf I want for my own amusement BUT it does make me wistful for ye olden days...

Dialogue: I don't have much fondness for holidays. Most are about religion, ...or family. Hardly relevant to me. When pestered for a favorite though... I typical say New Year's. I know no one really understands why. It's not the parties, nor kissing someone at midnight. I don't even make "New Year's Resolutions". But there's something about the comfort in the sentiment that we all get to say an official "goodbye" to our past selves, ...and continue on. It feels comfortably existential.
