Millennial joy: I’ve had the same iTunes library building since I was in my teens. I can shuffle through more than 20 years of my music tastes any time.
Gen X, I think I get the record to cassette to cd to mp3 grief now. I’m sorry.
Accept that you might need earplugs to avoid the misophonia meltdown from frequent cat baths. The fact that they are mostly very fastidious animals is a plus. The sounds of any pet grooming itself is a sensory nightmare.

This reminds me of my former landlord’s pug who would only snuggle me if he was sent outside to dry off from a bath. They were the most resentful snugs of my life. Can’t say I minded being used for warmth though.
