The building sits in the way back of the lot. They wanted those pesky animators and their shenanigans as far away from important studio people as possible. Jack Warner once mentioned they make “those Mickey Mouse cartoons”. Point is:Top brass has always had a bit of disdain for those looney weirdos
The original looney tunes crew was stowed away in a condemned building they called termite terrace (now the site of Netflix and KTLA). When they were moved to the WB lot it was in the building mentioned here.

Normies tend to see what we do as "fun" so they have a hard time wrapping their head around them paying us to go have fun. I've had people offer me gigs where they assumed the pay would be doing the job itself.
