As we were handcuffed and taken away, a crowd of hundreds of American Jews and Israeli Americans cried out "Let Gaza Live!" At one point, the crowd chanted "That's My Rabbi," and we were so moved by the support, giving us strength to keep being a loud moral voice.

An extraordinary intrusion. Fighting anti-semitism has nothing to do with demonizing trans people but of course it was always a means to a much bigger end.

Emotional scenes as 11 New York rabbis were arrested at our protest last night at the Israeli consulate.

Chants of “let Gaza live!” and “that’s my rabbi!” thundered through the crowd as the rabbis were taken away by the police.

I was last in Umm el-Kheir in December, with a group of rabbis, hosted by his cousin Eid Sulemain. We watched as settlers drove through, harassing residents and heard about the daily settler violence. @truahrabbis.bsky.social is more committed than ever to continuing his work. (3/3)

Just last month, many of us were making phone calls to try to get Awdah and his cousin Eid into the US after their visas were canceled at SFO. They were supposed to speak at synagogues & elsewhere about work to save Massafer Yatta. Now he has been killed by someone well known as a terrorist. (2/3)
