I see your distinction, but I'm being menaced by Christianity everyday, so it's hard to see the difference. All Abrahamic religions are patriarchal and violent. Jesus wasn't, but many modern Christians ignore his teaching.

I am in America witnessing Christianity's potential for violence, escalation and discrimination. In Israel, we see Jewish potential for violence, escalation and discrimination. It's not the fault of faith systems. It's the people, not the religion.
