It’s wild how so many people are gaslit into believing declining health and being sick all the time is just β€˜normal’ in your 30s. No. This is what repeated COVID infections do.

I wish we could figure out why this is happening so often lately… Almost like there’s an ongoing pandemic that weakens the immune system with every infection, and too many aren’t fully recovering before heading back on the court.

Speaking of grandsons of awful men, such as Timothy Mellon, last night I learned that Louis Mosley is the head of Peter Thiel’s Palantir in the UK.

Mosley’s grandpa was the founder of the British Union of Fascists who married his wife Diana Mitford at Joseph Goebbels’ house. Hitler was a guest.

Who benefits from the MAHA anti-science push? Powerful anti-vaccine advocates and people selling potentially harmful goods such as raw milk are profiting from the push to write anti-science policies into law across the U.S.

One of the greatest cons achieved by the β€œwellness” industry is convincing their marks that it’s a grassroots group that really, really cares about them.

They don’t. They make fat stacks of cash by lying to their customers and selling them remedies that are at best useless and at worst harmful.

The data consistently show this in Minneapolis. While housing cost burden for all renters stabilized, it continued to go up for low-income renters. 2040 positive supply shock + Floyd negative demand shock kept middle/upper income rents stable but those effects never reached lower income renters.

1. Please read the article (linked in the next post). What galls me is that there is nothing 'astonishing' about this; it was absolutely predictable. The reasons are multi-factorial, but low uptake of flu and Covid vaccines (and very tight eligibility for the latter) are a large part of the problem.

Bar chart titled β€œEquivalent Exposure Time to Unmasked Person.” The chart compares how long different masks/respirators extend the equivalent exposure time relative to being unmasked. The x-axis shows unmasked infection times of 1, 5, and 10 minutes. The y-axis shows equivalent masked exposure time, ranging up to 5000 minutes. Seven mask types are represented by colored bars:
- Procedure mask (loose fit, FF=2)
- Ear loop mask (tight fit, FF=6)
- Vertical bifold headband mask (FF=30)
- N95 headband masks with fit factors of 100, 200, and 500
Key pattern: higher fit factor masks dramatically increase equivalent exposure time. For example, at 10 minutes unmasked, a procedure mask extends exposure to 20 minutes, while an N95 with FF=400 extends it to 5000 minutes.

How does various mask fit compare to filter the air and protect you or others?

Most masks, even baggy blue procedure masks use filtering material that can filter 95%+ of particles that pass through it, but the key is "pass through it". Continue to learn more... πŸ§ͺ🧡1/
