Sunday morning the sun finally showed up.

So we climbed the Peñón de Ifach and suddenly the whole coastline opened up below us. Sea on one side. Calpe on the other. Seagulls flying around like they owned the place.

Clouds everywhere when we arrived. The kind of weather that makes you wonder if the Mediterranean forgot its job for a minute.

Still… we had an apartment on the 14th floor looking out over the sea.

Everyone went home.
We kept shooting.

The sunset crowd at Punta Galera was already packing up and hiking back up the path.

Meanwhile Darina was still standing on a rock in a yellow bikini… and I was down there with a flash refusing to accept that the light was gone.

It's all about the way you look at the world.

Cameras don't create photos. Photographers do. The gear matters far less than the curiosity behind it, the instinct to notice something others walk past, and the courage to point a lens at it.

I once suggested a “hiking photoshoot” to an exotic dancer.

I imagined boots and practical clothes.
She apparently heard: bring the absolute minimum.

Families walking by.
People staring.
Someone called the police.

Better gear does not automatically mean better photos.

The images that actually stop people from scrolling are about light.
Mood.
Intention.
Energy.

The biggest shift in my work didn’t come from upgrading a camera body.

It came from asking:
What do I want this to feel like?

That morning it was silver and quiet. Just waves, cliffs, and me trying to act professional while thinking, “okay wow, this is working.”
