I was covering the rally tonight and noted the same thing.
For reference, the city did not do this during the November budget protests (which I also covered).
There were significantly fewer protesters today. The only major difference was what they were protesting and the colour of their skin.
A member of the audience just declared that CTV has called Peterborough for Emma Harrison. The Peterborough Examiner and Metroland has also called it for Emma Harrison.

electoral politics generally fucking suck ass though and now that i’m more politically aware than i was when i first voted federally, voting is like having teeth pulled
cause if i can swing it i would much much prefer to have a job here for the summer and don’t intend to be home for extended periods in the foreseeable future. but having my family doctor in my back pocket is def something i take for granted sometimes bc if u don’t have one rn you’re basically SOL
decided im gonna vote for my riding at home for the sole reason i don’t want the cons to fuck over healthcare there even more than it already is.
i feel extremely privileged to have a family doctor who is a) good at her job and b) not old and close to retirement
