I’ve found that one of life’s gifts in my mid-fifties comes from standing up too quickly. I paid good money to get that feeling in my younger years. Now, if I could just find a way to make the episode last four hours, I’d be happier than a capitalist downsizing a sweatshop.

Human Being

A brittle form we share,
Some soon beyond repair,
And others yet to bear.

So innocent and young,
Until life's sting is stung,
And cynic songs are sung.
