A few of the children from the Rights Respecting Club went up to Balliefields Community Centre today to learn more about the community garden. They had the chance to plant some lettuce and had a wee little treat 🥬 😊⭐️.

This week we will be focusing on times tables. Any opportunity to practise these at home would be great. Top marks has lots of free games and I have uploaded a BBC Bitesize link with songs and clips to teams that children can use to help 😊.

A and D are leading a lesson on different languages this afternoon 😊

Primary 6 have worked so hard to gather donations for Martha’s Food Pantry. Thank you so much for all your contributions. These donations will help so many people in the Falkirk community ⭐️.

This week is Dyslexia Awareness Week. We have been exploring what this means and the strengths that people with dyslexia may have. We have watched and taken notes, researched dyslexic celebrities and are currently designing dyslexia friendly classrooms 😀.

S and S shared their Judo achievements from the weekend with the class ⭐️😊.

Today we have been talking with Scott about community 😊⭐️.

This afternoon we are creating adverts using iMovie on our iPads. These adverts are related to our change makers project. We hope to share these with you on our open afternoon 😊.

This afternoon we had the choice of two maths challenges one was to calculate how many squares does the picture contain and the other was to write a maths inspired story using the Maths Week Scotland mascot Finn Finity 😊➗🟰➕➖

This week we are focusing on addition. We have spoken about different ways you can calculate addition problems. We have looked at numbers up to millions and also numbers to two decimal places 😊.

If possible could children be reminded to charge iPads at home, quite a few are forgetting and we don’t have the space to charge very many in the class. Thank you 😊📱

Starting off Maths Week with a Sumdog competition!

We are changed and ready for our class award afternoon. A great treat for a hardworking class ⭐️😊!

S and S are currently leading a lesson on Judo. They have created a PowerPoint and a quiz. They are confident and had clear voices when speaking to the class. Well done 👏⭐️!

We have our class award afternoon tomorrow. Children are allowed to bring a change of clothes and a small snack, if they would like to. Please no nuts 😊

This morning we have been sharing our story with friends in our class. We have chatted and laughed about all of the great stories we have brought in 😊📚

We have been learning about Growth Mindset and given ourselves a challenge of learning how to beat box 🥁.

Another Young Leaders session this week learning all about different forms of communication 🗣️

Huge well done to our fundraisers who have managed to raise around £50 to help tackle Cancer ⭐️

M&E are leading a really interesting lesson on space which has included interesting facts, a PowerPoint and an online quiz ⭐️😊 Very impressed!

We have been working on French days of the week and months of the year. We are now focusing on French greetings. I have uploaded a link on to teams with a song and help with pronunciation if anyone would like to practise at home 😊.
