I work at home, why is it so fucking difficult to get a package delivered? Why is it okay for freight companies to just lie?

I went down to the lobby to meet a delivery driver, worried that if I missed him, they would say “no one was home” without even attempting a delivery (another thing that happens constantly now), and I just sat there for almost forty minutes watching the time refresh over and over.

Am I the only one who’s noticed that a lot of delivery companies do this thing like “your package will be delivered in five minutes” but then they push back the window, sometimes by hours, in five minute intervals?

Like what is the point?

I do not know how to explain to tech executives that customers don’t like it when you’re constantly changing the UI.
