4/6 Damit gibt die Regierung politischen Partikularinteressen nach und schwächt die Versorgungsqualität und ignoriert aktuelle wissenschaftliche Evidenz. In Zeiten knapper Ressourcen & zunehmender Resistenzen ein fataler Rückschritt. Ein gesundheitspolitisches Eigentor - ohne Not.

3/6 Die Leistungsgruppe Infektiologie war somit ein wichtiger Beitrag zur Effizienzsteigerung und Qualitätsverbesserung der Versorgung. Andere Länder haben die Wichtigkeit infektiologischer Expertise seit Jahrzehnten erkannt. In D meinen viele das könne man ja nebenbei mitmachen.

2/6 Zahlreiche Studien belegen: Infektiologische Fachexpertise bei der Behandlung schwerer & komplizierter Infektionen verbessert das klinische Outcome, verkürzt Liegezeiten, reduziert den Antibiotikaverbrauch. Kurz es verbessert Qualität und steigert Effizienz (spart Kosten).

Der aktuelle Entwurf der Bundesregierung zum Krankenhausanpassungsgesetz (KHAG) enthält gravierende Rückschritte, allen voran die Streichung der Leistungsgruppe Infektiologie. Mit dieser Fehlentscheidung schwächt das BMG die Effizienz + Qualität der Versorgung & konterkariert die Ziele der Reform. 🧵

Habe mit @spiegel.de (€) über Coronavirusvarianten und die Spätfolgen von COVID und anderen Atemwegsinfektionen gesprochen. Impfen schützt nicht nur vor der akuten Erkrankung, sondern reduziert v.a. auch das Risiko von Komplikationen. So senkt z.B. eine Grippeschutzimpfung das Herzinfarktrisiko !
