It would be nice if all new vehicles, except for very specific circumstances, had to be hybrid or ev. There are very few cases that internal combustion engines only are required for urban settings.

I was using the rough $ range that these vehicles are selling for in other parts of the world. I would only buy a ev or a hybrid now. Back in the mid 1980's I bought a Suzuki Forsa that got 60 mpg with 4 adults in it. Why can't they do that with today's tech wizards?
I would buy a BYD electric if it was in the $25k range over the almost $50k evs that are on offer from other manufacturers. A $5k rebate wouldn't move me away from that. I don't want any vehicle that has USA parts or labour.

Oil patch lost 10,000 jobs last year. Automation was the biggest culprit, guess what, automation gets federal and provincial tax breaks. So the workers taxes are paying to get them laid off faster. I wish I could laugh at that, but it is too sad and cruel to do so.
My personal opinion is that carbon capture is about 90% scam worthy. If you capture the carbon why aren't you using it to create product instead of burying it?
