I know it’s the minority but ugh the way of thinking is just so scary.

People are being really insufferable about it and it’s the same crowd who was angry about Covid restrictions.

I with people would fucking listen to fire bans. There is a fucking wild fire in the small town next mine. I work close to the edge of town. People and their livelihoods are at risk because you wanted to go hiking and camping. Anything and everything is setting these fires off.

They do this with rentable scooters in our area so I can’t imagine why this couldn’t be done for cars, especially in this day and age

My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.

folks don't know that AIs scraping websites accounts for like half of all internet bandwidth usage right now. Sites get scraped- ie, all the contents downloaded- over and over again, destroying/wasting their bandwidth, often maxing it out. It's like being continually DDOS'd
