I think to follow the teachings requires one to be a political radical. I wish more folks would read Reza Aslan's wonderful book "Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth." It made conservative heads explode when it came out; a Muslim author portraying Jesus as a political radical. Spot on.
